First, "Bruce Almighty" is the movie I know, a 2003 comedy directed by Tom Shadyac, starring Jim Carrey as Bruce Nolan. It's a parody of disaster films, especially "The Day After Tomorrow," and also has elements of divine power, referencing "The Exorcist" and other films. The main plot is about Bruce being given God-like powers as a test.
