Throughout the season, viewers are introduced to a diverse cast of characters, including Captain Brad Bellick (played by Wade Williams), the ruthless and corrupt prison captain; Fernando Sucre (played by Amaury Nolasco), a Puerto Rican inmate who becomes Michael's ally; and Sara Tancredi (played by Sarah Wayne Callies), the prison's doctor who becomes romantically involved with Michael.
