The movie takes place during the Majin Buu arc of the Dragon Ball Z timeline. The story revolves around the powerful being, Majin Buu, who has been sealed away for centuries. When he is accidentally released, the Z-Warriors must band together to stop him. Meanwhile, a new threat emerges in the form of a powerful entity known as Veku, the result of a failed fusion between Vegeta and Goku. The two warriors must find a way to merge properly to become Gogeta, the legendary Super Saiyan, and put an end to the evil Majin Buu.
