The movie follows Phil Wenneck (Bradley Cooper), Dr. Stuart "Stu" Price (Ed Helms), Alan Garner (Zach Galifianakis), and Doug Billings (Justin Bartha) as they embark on a trip to Thailand. However, their adventure takes a wild turn when they wake up after a wild night with no memory of what happened. They then embark on a series of misadventures to find their missing friend and make it to the wedding on time.
