Los Suaves was formed in 1982 in Ourense, Galicia, Spain. The band's original lineup consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist Carlos "El Yaya" Juárez, guitarist Joaquín "El Quimi" Domínguez, bassist Ángel "El Tío" Rodríguez, and drummer José "El Pino" González. They gained popularity in the late 1980s with their energetic live performances and catchy songs.
