The movie picks up where the first film left off. Agent J is still reeling from the death of his partner, Agent K, who was neuralyzed and sent to a maximum-security psychiatric hospital. A powerful alien named "The Cockroach" escapes from the hospital and threatens Earth. The Men in Black organization must reform to stop this new threat. Agent J teams up with a new partner, Agent X (Emilio Estevez), but things get complicated when Agent K's neuralyzed form is discovered to be in danger.
