The film picks up where the previous installment left off, with Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) and Detective Carter (Chris Tucker) reuniting in Los Angeles to investigate a counterfeiting scheme. However, their mission takes a dramatic turn when they discover that the counterfeiting ring is linked to a notorious Triad organization. As they navigate the complex web of international crime, they must put aside their cultural differences and work together to take down the villainous mastermind, Jin (Shinobi: Heart Under Blade).
