This study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis methods. An online survey was conducted among 300 Vietnamese viewers of Sherlock BBC Vietsub New, aged 18-35. The survey aimed to gather information on viewers' demographics, viewing habits, and opinions on the show. Additionally, in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 participants to gain more nuanced insights into their reception of the show.
