The Crow is based on a comic book series created by James O'Barr, which was first published in 1989. The story follows Eric Draven, a young musician who is brutally murdered along with his fiancée, Shelly, by a gang of thugs. However, Eric is resurrected by a supernatural crow, which becomes his guide and companion, seeking revenge against those responsible for his death.
